It's a nice enough Chinese buffet, what can you expect for a small town like Lake City, FL? The price is decent, the selection was good for me, though I tend to like the meat portions better than veggies, but that is just me. The service was fine, nothing exceptional, neither amazing nor bad. I travel to Lake City for work at least once a month, and will probably eat here about 5-6 times a year.

Surprisingly nice selection that is kept refreshed and clean. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. They did a very nice special for Chinese New Year with some unique offerings on the hot bar. Two thumbs up for: Variety, service, price.

Horrible service. I stood at the door for 10 min as the waitress rolled silverware. Had to run her down to get my drink and the flat top they made my food on needs to be cleaned. I will not be back.

Guang Dong is what it is. It's a Chinese Buffet in the mall. They have a wide range of asian food in the buffet, a Mongolian grill and a sushi bar. Living in a small town I can appreciate it for what it is, for one price you can got and eat all kinds of food. The restaurant has been there for a long time(20+yrs) so they must be doing something right. The service is friendly and the price is right. My friend worked there and they were very kind employers. Tip: Like any buffet, go during the rush hours to get the freshest food.

We have been here more then once seeing as we try to give places a fair chance. Every time has been horrible EXCEPT the first time. Food Is always cold, staff is so/so. Only good food is the Mongolian bar which is also the only hot food.

Not that great. Not a big selection and what I did get tastes like it had been sitting out for a while (the fried rice was crunchy). Sushi was fair. The waitress did say that if there was anything not out or running low they would make it fresh for us. All in all I was not impressed

Reasons you should never eat at this "Chinese" restaurant: 10. It's in a mall 9. It's a buffet...the only people who should eat at a Chinese buffet are in China 8. The bar isn't open on Sunday's 7. It costs $2.00 extra to eat the ice cream 6. They have a sushi bar...that stays open all day 5. Mac and Cheese and French fries??? 4. Everything is either deep fried or dripping in grease 3. There were no won-tons in the won-ton soup 2. They don't serve any vegetables without meat 1. The word "dong" is in the name

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
